My professional scientific work has started in the Institute of Electronic Materials Technology where I was employed as a student-member in the project. On the beginning, I was responsible for investigation of nanomaterials application in the electronics and then I investigated bioactive glasses as materials for tissue engineering. Since this moment I have been very interested in tissue engineering, because of exciting, interdisciplinary character of this field. In my opinion, the necessity of deepening the knowledge of different scientific disciplines is the big advantage of biomaterials science.


The reasonable man adapts himself to the world, the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
