My scientific curiosity and passion for asking questions is what led me to undertake a PhD programme. My adventure with Biomaterials has started with the Master’s thesis. My aim was to produce hybrid coatings on stainless steel for medical purposes. Therefore I was incubating the samples in SBF for several weeks and then investigated bioactivity and the structure of the received layers. Thereafter I have found nanomaterials very interesting. Moreover, I am strongly motivated to have an active role in developing new strategies in the field of biomaterials.

You can, you should and if you are brave enough to start, you will.  (Stephen King)
