My entry into the fascinating world of polyethers began in 2013 with a practical coursein the research group of Prof. Frey, where I had the opportunity to get an insight into polymer research. The focus of this project was the synthesis of novel multifunctional polyethers and in this lab course I was first introduced to anionic ring-opening polymerization of epoxides.I deepened my knowledge as part of my diploma thesis, where I dealt with hydrophobic surface coatings. My doctoral thesis deals with crosslinkable polyethers. The exploration of unknown materials and their application are highly fascinating to me.In this context, I would like to sincerely thank Prof. Sajkiewicz for giving me the opportunity to learn the method of electrospinning in an interdisciplinary cooperation and thus expand the range of applications of my materials.
